The Ventura County Medical System has updated our visitor policy. Effective March 8, 2022, please note the following changes:
Regarding Vaccinations Status:
- All visitors need to be “fully vaccinated”, which excludes a booster shot. To access your vaccination record, visit: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov
- If a visitor is NOT fully vaccinated, they will need to present a negative test. For information on where to access testing visit: www.venturacountyrecovers.org
- Note: Antigen tests must be done within 24 hours of visitation, PCR within 48 hours.
- During “emergent” situations, the above rules are waived and a visitor can be present as long as they are not actively showing signs/symptoms of a possible COVID infection.
Regarding Number of Visitors In Inpatient Units:
- For Adults: 1 visitor at a time, maximum 2 per day
- For Exempted groups: 2 visitors at a time, maximum 2 per day
Exempted groups include the following:
- Emergency Situation
- End Of Life Care
- Support To A Patient With Disabilities
- Support To A Patient Under The Age Of 18 (Pediatrics, PICU, NICU)
- Support to a Laboring Mother
**No visitors are allowed for patients in the Emergency Department. Exception: 1 visitor allowed for exempted groups and emergent situations.
Thank you for your help in keeping our environment safe for all patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
