Temporary Patient Visiting Guidelines

The Ventura County Medical System has updated our visitor policy. Effective March 8, 2022, please note the following changes:

Regarding Vaccinations Status:

  • All visitors need to be “fully vaccinated”, which excludes a booster shot. To access your vaccination record, visit: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov
  • If a visitor is NOT fully vaccinated, they will need to present a negative test. For information on where to access testing visit: www.venturacountyrecovers.org
    • Note: Antigen tests must be done within 24 hours of visitation, PCR within 48 hours.
  • During “emergent” situations, the above rules are waived and a visitor can be present as long as they are not actively showing signs/symptoms of a possible COVID infection.

Regarding Number of Visitors In Inpatient Units:

  • For Adults: 1 visitor at a time, maximum 2 per day
  • For Exempted groups: 2 visitors at a time, maximum 2 per day

Exempted groups include the following:

  • Emergency Situation
  • End Of Life Care
  • Support To A Patient With Disabilities
  • Support To A Patient Under The Age Of 18 (Pediatrics, PICU, NICU)
  • Support to a Laboring Mother

**No visitors are allowed for patients in the Emergency Department.  Exception: 1 visitor allowed for exempted groups and emergent situations.

Thank you for your help in keeping our environment safe for all patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
